Technical questions
DIDs (Direct Inward Dialling numbers) are phone numbers that route inbound calls, and on some number types SMS, to your SIP endpoint. You receive calls as if you had a local line in that country.
Numbers are provisioned after account verification (KYC). In countries with additional regulatory requirements, numbers are assigned once the required documents are approved.
Yes, on SMS-enabled numbers (mainly mobile-range numbers). Inbound messages are delivered to your API endpoint or webhook for customer support and conversational messaging.
Each DID points to a SIP endpoint (IP address or SIP URI). You can set primary and failover destinations per number in the Console.
Port-in is supported in most countries. Timelines depend on the country and the losing provider; we confirm them when you submit a port request.
